About Vedas

Vedas are the basis of philosophical thinking in India. The people who follow vedic tradition believe that Veda, the knowledge of life was given  to Brahma, the formal creator of this universe and its life forms by Vishnu. Brahma gave it to Rishis (sages) that he created and from them to mankind.

Veda was categorized into four books by Vyasa. Yajurveda is one on them. Vedas are available in different versions and there are stories that tell us why these versions came into existence. Sukla Yajurveda is a version of Yajurveda.
